Geoff Zanelli, Composer of Pirates of the Caribbean 5
I’m super excited to bring you Geoff Zanelli today!  Geoff wrote the musical score for Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales.  He’s also credited with “additional music” on the first four POTC films.  We talk about what that means (and it means way more than it sounds like).

Plus we’ll dig into how he went about capturing some of the POTC1 feel while still bringing his own voice to this new score.  And how he got in with Hans Zimmer after his years growing up in Orange County and going to the Berklee School of Music.

This is such a fun talk and Geoff’s enthusiasm for the Pirates of the Caribbean films is infectious!
