Keith Martin is a librarian at the National Institute of Standards and Technology here in the U.S.A. And you’re probably wondering what the heck that has to do with pirates.
But there’s a great story in here about how pirates thwarted the early attempts and using the metric system in the US. So if you still don’t know how many liters there are in a kilometer, you’re not alone.
