David Magee is the screenwriter of the fantastic movies Finding Neverland and Life of Pi. Â He’s also working on the new Mary Poppins and Narnia films.
I’m a nut for anything Peter Pan/Captain Hook related, so this talk with David is really fun. Â We get into J.M. Barrie’s life during the creation of Peter Pan and how David did his research. Â We talk plenty of Captain Hook and how he fits into the story of both Peter Pan and Barrie’s life.
And we had to talk some Life of Pi too! Â It was a notoriously difficult book to adapt until David and Ang Lee got their hands on it. We’ll dip our toes into Mary Poppins and Narnia too.
