Rich Manic aka Captain Festus McBoyle
All the way from New Zealand, Rich Manic is on the show today! Rich is the leader and aka of Captain Festus McBoyle’s Travellin’ Variety Show.

We dig into the status of the pirate scene in New Zealand, how Rich went from teaching special education kids how to come out of their shells and get on stage to being thrown into a pirate gig just because. And now that they’re a huge deal in New Zealand, what’s next?

Rusty Cutlass

With their genesis at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Orlando, FL, Rusty Cutlass has turned into one of the premiere pirate bands on the Southeast pirate fest scene.

First we talk with Mark Miller aka Nasty Nate about his career with Disney, how Rusty Cutlass got started, pirate jokes, and concertinas.

Then we’ll pop over to one of the resorts and catch Ken Thiboult (Pepe Duval) and Dean Rasik (Dirty John Dirk) between sets. They tell us how they got involved with Disney, how the group chooses material, and about Ken’s practical jokes.

Steve Boehm of Pirates For Sail Steve Boehm is the captain and “adult” of the band Pirates For Sail. (Puns!) We dig into the group’s inner workings to see how they came about and got that super lush harmony sound they’re so good at.

We’ll also hear a song from their new album “Crabby Road” that will be released Sept 22, 2017. Look for it!

And I’ll tell you all about my misadventures at the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas and how you can help friend of the show Michael Noles get back on his feet after getting hit bad by Hurricane Irma.
