Bullet Valmont of The Wench Whisperer Bullet Valmont has been pirating around Hollywood for a long time. You might know him as the advice columnist behind The Wench Whisperer.

We talk about that as well as his new pirate performance group Imagine Pirates. And we delve into his journey as an actor in Hollywood from the lows of being homeless and still trying to make the audition to the highs of working with Jim Carrey.

We recorded this talk in person on the back patio of an old haunted bar in Hollywood. And of course they started playing music. So the background is a little noisy, but you’ll be able to hear us fine.

Nick Tyler aka Captain Pigheart Nick Tyler is a pirate fan, Lego nut, writer, and comedian out of Nottingham, England. And his Captain Pigheart stories are a treat for any (adult) pirate fan. Not for the kiddies. But absolutely hilarious.

You may not be familiar with Nick’s work even if you’re pretty tapped into the pirate scene. So I’m happy to bring you something new and cool today.

We go everywhere in this conversation: pirates, comedy, writing techniques, Lego, Transformers… This one’s a thousand miles wide. 🙂 As it should be with someone who’s got his fingers in so many pies.

You’ll also hear about my patience being tested on a flight (and mostly wait) to Seattle and the tale of drunken heckler in Vancouver.

Bruce Mercury and TL Jones of Band of Pirates

Bruce Mercury and TL Jones are creating a universe of pirate goodness under the name Band of Pirates. The full length feature film has led to books which are leading to a TV series, music and more. Ambitious!

We’ll find out how they’re managing all these different projects and how they got their feature film made at a time where that was much tougher to do. And Bruce will tell us a bit about his time on the set of the movie “Hook”, one of my all time favorites! 🙂

I admire anyone that can get a feature film finished. And they were doing it back when it was much harder than it is today. Be sure to dig into all the different aspects of the Band of Pirate world.

Hear my new single “I Wanna Rock (Socially Responsibly) at https://roadsideattraction.bandcamp.com/track/i-wanna-rock-socially-responsibly

Here’s the lyric video for the song too. I’m in love with the “1 2 3 4” joke and absolutely no one will get it. As we comedians say, “That one’s for me.” 🙂
