Johnny Ringo of Code Rum

Johnny Ringo is one of the partners in Code Rum. He’ll tell us how he went from working in a rock quarry to doing event planning to being a treasure diver to ending up as a rum maker.

We also get into what it takes to start a rum company and how they’ve made is really successful from the get go. He even tells us one of the secrets that contributes to the flavor of their rum. You’ll never guess it and its my favorite part of the talk. 🙂

And I knew exactly nothing about rum going into this talk, so you’ll have to excuse me if I ask stupid questions. 🙂

Bruce Mercury and TL Jones of Band of Pirates

Bruce Mercury and TL Jones are creating a universe of pirate goodness under the name Band of Pirates. The full length feature film has led to books which are leading to a TV series, music and more. Ambitious!

We’ll find out how they’re managing all these different projects and how they got their feature film made at a time where that was much tougher to do. And Bruce will tell us a bit about his time on the set of the movie “Hook”, one of my all time favorites! 🙂

I admire anyone that can get a feature film finished. And they were doing it back when it was much harder than it is today. Be sure to dig into all the different aspects of the Band of Pirate world.

Brian Fields of Pirates of Emerson Brian Fields had “the Halloween House” on his block as a kid. It eventually grew to have a lot of pirate stuff. It also eventually got too big for its britches and had to become a much larger, much scarier event that turned into Brian’s full time gig.

Pirates of Emerson is now the premiere haunt in Northern California and includes 5 haunted attractions, music, performers, and all sorts of other ghoulish delights.

I’ve been trying to get Brian in for a talk for a long time now and we finally made it happen! You’ll love his story of how he took his childhood Halloween hobby to the big time.
